Brief: Create a playful secondary Hotel linked to the main FIVE Zurich Hotel. The client wanted the spaces to be bold and bright, whilst still luxury.

To access this Hotel from the main building, you have to walk through a 200m long underground tunnel. This was the inspiration which myself and the FF&E designer built on to develop the concept for these spaces. The idea of a journey through rock and organic elements. This inspired not only the finishes, but also the forms of large joinery pieces. We also created bespoke wallpapers and carpets, to create a project that was uniquely tied to its setting. Alongside communal spaces, we designed a repeatable bedroom model to be used in the 64 bedrooms. For these we needed to maximise the compact space, which bringing excitement and glamour.
