WAGTAIL BAR & RESTAURANT_
LONDON

Brief: To create a completely new restaurant and bar split over two floors and celebrating the 360° views of iconic London landmarks.

For this project I was the Project Lead, building the project from concept stage and coordinating through delivery and install on site. This included delivering a full drawing package of plans, elevations and details, as well as coordinating lighting and furniture with the FF&E designer.

The client wanted space that felt elegant and glamorous but offered something exciting and fresh to the London rooftop scene. We kept the colour palette small, with lots of texture brought through different materials and metallic accents.

The roof top bar needed to be a space that was suitable for use in all seasons of London weather. Planting, luxury lighting and bespoke joinery were all needed to bring the space to life. Due to the restrictions of the pergola, we made the decision to instead hang lighting from a structure on the front bar. Then for a more ambient light in the bar back, we made it look like a window lit from within, by creating a lightbox with textural acrylic.
