FIVE ZURICH HOTEL_GROUND FLOOR_
ZURICH

Brief: To create Zurich's premium destination hotel, to add to the worldwide portfolio of FIVE. The Hotel needs to be a place to party and relax with surprises moments.  

I worked on this site from concept through to completion, including dressing the rooms for marketing. This was a very large project, encompassing both bedrooms and communal spaces over 5 floors of a listed building. The project gave me the opportunity for huge growth, starting as an assistant and moving through to Project Lead. I was able to create exciting stories to weave through the building, design large joinery pieces and manage the project through construction.

The brief was all about creating fun and intrigue for guests, so storytelling in each space was extremely important. For the Ground floor spaces, we used the hotel guest archives to find stories of famous guests to inspire the welcoming check in spaces. There were lots of musical elements and places to display items related to these stories. A new 360 fireplace then formed the central feature moment on a platform.
